This characteristic allows you to choose different waves for the positive and negative cycles thus adjusting the heat input in the part and in the tungsten.
The independent adjustment of cycle allows us to define the wave that we require.
The negative (-) cycle is the phase that emits current from the tungsten, where heat is concentrated in the part increasing welding penetration and speed. On the contrary, in the positive (+) cycle, heat is concentrated in the tungsten and it increases the descaling of the part.
With the AC/DC Gala TIG 3200 you can select different types of wave that will allow total management of the welding arc.
Two practical examples and the effects of selecting a type of cycle are detailed below:
Repair of engine block: very thick part that is quite porous and has remnants of dirt.
Substitution of body sheets: thin part.
