The training focused on learning about different work equipment whose aim is to improve the AIR ARC, MAG with solid thread and TIG technique application processes, in the different products that come from casting and machining, such as pulleys, gearwheels, segments, wheels, gearings, etc. for applications in cranes and mining machines, as well as for caterpillars and truck-mounted cranes.
The work process focused on analysing the competences of the different workplaces and operators involved in this quality improvement in production, providing and adapting the improvement points for each workplace, It also focused on the repair and/or recovery processes of parts coming from the subsequent non-destructive tests that exist for quality
assurance of the more than 20 tons of cast parts manufactured each day.
This achieved an improvement in the action speed in terms of recovery and welding, as well as the ergonomics of the workplace and the occupational safety of the operator involved, thus obtaining a substantial improvement in the applicability and effectiveness of the processes mentioned.
