CE marking of Metal Structures according to standard UNE EN 1090.
On 1 July 2014, standard UNE EN 1090 will be of compulsory compliance for all metal construction companies to obtain CE marking.
According to the European Construction Products Directive, the CE marking according to the European Construction Products Directive (86/106/CEE), regulates that in order to be permanently incorporated into construction works, both building and civil works, in the entire domestic market of the European Union, all structural products manufactured in steel and aluminium, must have CE marking according to the European standards of reference.
In the case of metal structures, these standards are EN 1090-1, EN 1090-2 and EN 1090-3.
This legal regulation will be of compulsory compliance in EU countries starting on 1 July 2014.
The marketing of a product that does not have CE marking, when this is compulsory, will lead to economic and administrative sanctions, as well as other criminal or civil type ones that might result.
